Meet the Founder
Nicole Murphy
A Washington, DC native and CEO of Barter Black®, a recognized entrepreneur and mother of two. After launching HomeShare 365, a short-term property management company, the COVID-19 pandemic halted her business. Recognizing the challenges faced by Black-owned businesses, she created Barter Black®, an innovative platform for Black entrepreneurs and startup founders.
Similar to Airbnb and Uber, Barter Black fosters connections for members to exchange goods and services, supporting equitable relationships and providing necessary support for Black businesses to thrive. It's more than just a platform for goods, but a network for Black entrepreneur success.
